How we handle your information.
This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and your rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
The short version
- We only receive your details when you send us an enquiry or your readiness check results.
- They go straight to our email inbox and are used only to respond to you.
- No advertising, no tracking cookies, and we never sell your information.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time.
Who we are
Ngobess Technologies ("we", "us", "our") is a founder-led technology company based in Johannesburg, South Africa. We are the responsible party for the personal information collected through this website.

What we collect
When you send an enquiry
If you use the form on our Contact page, we collect your name, email address, company, phone number, the service you are interested in and your message.
When you send us your readiness check results
If you choose to send your results, we collect:
- Your name and email address
- Your company name, phone number and message, if you provide them
- Your answers to the readiness check, your scores and your top priorities
- The business profile you selected (team size, number of sites and current IT support)
- Your consent, and the date and time you sent your results
Your results are emailed to us. They are not stored on this website.
Information that stays in your browser
Some features save information on your own device only. It is not sent to us:
- Your readiness check answers while you work through it, so you can pick up where you left off
- The items you tick on the Insights checklists
Choosing Retake on the readiness check clears its saved answers. You can clear everything by deleting this site's data in your browser settings.
Technical information
When you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, so the site can be delivered and protected. Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which also receives your IP address.
How we use it
We use the information you send us to:
- Reply to your enquiry
- Review your readiness check results
- Contact you about your results and suggest a practical starting point
- Respond to any questions you include in your message
We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to marketing lists without asking you separately.
Your readiness score is produced automatically from your answers. It is guidance only and is never used to make decisions that affect you without a person reviewing it.
Why we are allowed to use it
We process the information you send through the readiness check on the basis of your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box before sending your results (POPIA section 11(1)(a)).
We process enquiries you send through our Contact page so we can respond to your request and take the steps you ask for before any agreement with us (POPIA section 11(1)(b)).
Technical information is processed for our legitimate interest in delivering the website securely and reliably (POPIA section 11(1)(f)).
You can withdraw your consent at any time. This does not affect anything we did with your information before you withdrew it.
Where it is stored
Enquiries and readiness check results are delivered by Web3Forms to our email inbox, where we keep them. Web3Forms and our email provider may process and store this information outside South Africa.
The website itself and its fonts are delivered through Google's global network. This means technical information, such as your IP address, may be processed outside South Africa, under Google's own safeguards for international transfers.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and readiness check results in our email for 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or the law requires us to keep them longer. After that, we delete them.
Information saved in your browser stays on your device until you clear it.
How we protect it
- Enquiries and readiness check results are sent straight to our email inbox. They are not stored on this website or in a website database.
- Only authorised people at Ngobess Technologies can access our inbox.
- Information is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) when you send it.
No method of storing or sending information online is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.
Your rights
Under POPIA, you have the right to:
- Ask whether we hold personal information about you, and request a copy of it
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- Ask us to delete your information
- Object to us processing your information
- Withdraw your consent at any time
- Complain to the Information Regulator
To use any of these rights, email our Information Officer at hello@ngobesstech.co.za. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on your request.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforeg.org.za.
Cookies and browser storage
We do not use cookies for advertising or analytics, and we do not track you across other websites.
The readiness check and Insights checklists use your browser's local storage to remember your progress on your own device, as described in What we collect. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Children
This website is intended for businesses and is not aimed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make significant changes, we will make that clear on this website.
